AJIC: Science into Practice
APIC, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, is excited to present our scientific podcast, AJIC: Science into Practice. This podcast, hosted by infection preventionists with experience in the field, will highlight one or two current AJIC articles that would be most relevant to the practice of infection prevention and control.
We hope this podcast will help listeners better understand, think through, and put into practice the scientific research published in APIC’s peer-reviewed journal, the American Journal of Infection Control. We also want podcast conversations to generate interest in the topic of infection prevention and control research, how and why it was carried out, and to illuminate how the article applies to IPC practice. Further, we hope the podcast will suggest future areas of research and refer listeners to other articles of interest.
Who is APIC?
We’re a non-profit professional association representing nearly 16,000 infection preventionists (IPs) around the world. Our members develop and direct infection prevention and control programs that save lives and improve the bottom line for healthcare facilities. Established in 1972, APIC provides the education, advocacy, knowledge, and access to the latest scientific evidence to help IPs do their jobs better.
